About Me

I'm Jessica Renee Prendiz I am 23 years old I am Co-founder of a Non Profit Foundation called "Hope for SMA." I have a background in the beauty Industry working for MAC cosmetics specializing in Weddings, Photoshoots, Special events ect. I also Just recently started working at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott in Dana Point. I am young but as a person I have a lot of depth and have been through so much in these last 23 years. In 2009 I lost My only and first Born little girl, Hannah-Rose to a Terminal Disease that affects Infants under the age of 2. At the age of 11 months my baby went to be with the Lord because of a disease called SMA or Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1. To best describe it, it affects the Internal muscles causing them to weaken including the lungs. causing difficulty to breath, eat, swallow, crawl ect. Not effecting them Cognitively at all. Thus is why my family and I started "Hope for SMA." We exist to Find, Get and Give Hope to these Babies and Families who should not have to go through this. Its so very painful. After losing My baby and going though a tough battle fighting for her life in every way possible there are so many ups and downs that I go though. Some days are so difficult and others are steady by the grace of God. I know he is holding me together every moment and giving me the strength I need everyday until I am united with her again. Im starting this Blog not only to help me express myself but to maybe help others too. In life we go though so much no matter what our circumstances are. We may not ever know That question of "why?" while on this earth but we ALL have a mission, a mandate and purpose on our Lives. Lets finish this Race the best way we know how. STRONG. Blessings.
