Adult Silly

JOY, LAUGHTER, FUN. What is Happiness to you? Is it money? is it Family? Friends? Possessions? What does Living really look like? are you the person you want to be or are you just going through the motions because your scared, or its comfortable. Today I met the most Fascinating 60 year old woman. She's this spit fire, in shape, blond, cougar from Coto de caza named Paula. Paula never graduated high school. But she was so driven by that fact, that it motivated her even more to "make it" in life. after pressing on and not giving up and becoming an entrepreneur, her and her then husband became owners of a multi million dollar company. She was such a slave to her work she never got the time to enjoy the lifestyle of the perks of having such millions. Later, after many life events that the world throws at us, Paula is now Single. No million dollar company and lives in an apt in Laguna Beach. BUT shes now Just discovering herself and what its like to "live" Paula is an artist, and in every aspect of the word...... painting, photography. She started a purse business unlike any purse you've ever seen! (its going to be huge and of course I bought one.) she's going to have her own reality show. She makes a special pasta sauce that she sells to a HUGE restaurant chain in Hollywood And amongst these and other things, she Started a Project called "Project Bed" Before I tell you what the Project is, Let me tell you something about Paula.... Everyday Paula Writes a list of things for her to do and accomplish before she goes to bed. These aren't just the usual grocery store, errands to get done type of list. this is a one of a kind spontaneous, no fear, who gives a crap what people think type of list. Including -meet a stranger and cook them dinner. - befriend a random person walking through the mall and go see a movie with them, Get all dolled up make 2 martinis and go to a neighbors house you've never met invite yourself in and strike up an intellectual conversation. These are just some of the things Paula does on a daily basis. she calls it "Adult Silly." There is a method to her Madness... The whole point of putting herself out there is to not only to be Adult silly, but to not take herself so seriously, to Laugh, have fun, meet new people see where life takes you.. We only get 1 shot at this. The other reason is "project Bed" Paula has a huge 33,000 bed (its immaculate) she has put together a book, a boudoir if you will and the people that she meets in her adventures she invites them to her "bed." Both men and women, she paints them into a beautiful piece of artwork thus "project Bed." after the painting is finished she writes the story of how they met and how this person ended up in her bed and being her subject of art that day. (non sexual) They, in return write a piece on the experience and  she publishes it in the book along with the picture. She Told me a story of how on her list one day she had to invite a stranger over for dinner. As she was getting ready for her day in the morning she noticed she had a leak. So she had to call a repair man. He came at 10am to fix her leak and it dawned on her that this was the perfect opportunity to have dinner with him, get to know him as a person, his life story and sell him on Project bed. Theres only one problem. it was 10am. She decided she was going to cook him dinner for breakfast. Pasta, with her special sauce. As the water was boiling she proceeded to tell him how she wants to make him dinner and get to know him. He was a little freaked out but as you can imagine it didn't take much convincing and ended up being part of Project bed. With him posing with all his tools on her bed. A little Crazy but Paula has made life long friendships doing this and has had the opportunity to study the nature of people while learning, working and having fun. Shes such a carefree person and is so inspiring to talk to. a little exccentric but shes one of those unique people that has depth, and is not afraid to speak her mind, takes life by the horns and has fun doing it. Shes been offered thousands of dollars for her book but hasn't wanted to sell it yet. After a long Journey and at 60 years old Paula has just discovered herself and couldn't be happier. What are your dreams? What is happiness to you? Its important to keep Joy apart of your life and Smile no matter what life may throw at you, Even if it is Adult Silly.
